Auto Purchase Guidelines
Buying a new or pre-owned SUV, car, truck, or van at Nissan of St. Augustine? Here’s the information you will need to complete the purchase, whether you’re a Florida resident, Out-of-State resident, or making a Business Purchase.
Florida Resident Auto Purchases:
- Florida Driver’s License.
- Proof of residency, if not listed on Driver’s License or requested by bank.
- Current Tag Number or Registration.
- Florida Insurance Policy (If a commercial vehicle is in a business name, you must have commercial insurance).
- Insurance DEC Page or Binder with new bank listed as lienholder.
Out-Of-State Resident Auto Purchases:
- Out-of-State Driver’s License (Address on license must match contract).
- Proof of Residency (Electric Bill, Phone Bill, Utility Bill, or Current Bank Statement)
- Out-of-State Insurance Binder with New Vehicle Listed.
- Out-of-state Insurance Policy Car with New Vehicle Listed and Lien Holder if approved.
- Signed POA for DMV only (We do this with our DMV pack).
- Title application for the state the vehicle will be registered in (We do this with our DMV pack).
- Copy of your Current Vehicle Registration (If transferring a tag with the state).
All Commercial Business Auto Purchases:
- Current Driver’s License (Address on license must match contract).
- Article of Inc. or LLC for the state the business is listed in.
- Commercial Insurance Policy for the state the vehicle will be registered in.
- Business Buyer’s Resolution, which gives permission for the signer to sign on behalf of the business.
- Insurance Binder with the new vehicle listed and the lien holder name – if applicable.
- Proof of Business Address, if a different address is listed on Sunbiz.org or articles of Inc.
- Driver’s License of the person who is to be the “signer” for the business.
